The headlines in our local newspaper was " Infantry raids "terrorist" camp near Cumberland" and "Soldiers practice anti-terrorist skills."
Operation Cougar Salvo 2007 was staged on the property of the local Fish and Game Protective Association in order to train soldiers how to work better together as a team in rapidly changing conditions.
Do you think the citizens of Cumberland should have a say in whether or not future operations such as this occur in or around our village?
What was your experience of this military presence in our midst?
