Got my bill today!
From $197.65 (2 mo) to $296.62 (2 mo)
which is an increase of $99.97
or 50.07 %
If this is the average increase for all households in BC, then hydro revenue will go up by MANY MILLIONS of $$.
And how are they setting a green energy example? By allowing the privatization of rivers (e.g. the Pitt River) to obtain power which BCHYDRO must buy (and can't control).
I suggest we overload their systems with bitching an complaining.
I called Hydro to complain, referred to the BC
utilities commission, which approved the increase. More receptive, telling me that I can read the decision (157 pages) 0n their website.
I suggest you check your bill and if you are unhappy call Hydro (1 800 431 9376 - conservation dept) and the BCUC (Allison)
