I have read the article on MR Moncrief and it is my opinion that if he served the village for all of those years. How come the village is in such bad shape did he not have the vision to see what would happen in the future. And why did he not get a low cost loan to fix the damn years ago, in those days you could get a low cost loan and help from the government to fix the problem. Gordon Kinnan was a councillor at that time and he put the proposal to council and they voted it down. If they had done it then, we would not have this water problem now.
There were many mistakes made when mayor Moncrief and his councillors were in office. So now is the time to change all of them to someone who will work and plan for the village and put us back on track.
One more thing that has been going on is that the village has let itself been put into too many lawsuits and we as taxpayers pay the bill. That is part of the problem why the village does not have any money. I read their audit on the moneys spent around the village and there is way too much spent on parks alone. I have lived here for over 20 years. And I hope that the next 20 are more profitable for the village then what we have now.
