Re: changes to bylaw 904

Originally sent to Judith Walker, Cumberland Village Planner

I have been reading the notice to public hearing that was in my mailbox recently, and I have been reading the changes to bylaw 904 regarding lots 10a and 10b.

My concern with these changes are that there seems to be alot of changes to residential. I would like to see these lots kept for enviromental purposes only, and keep some forest around the village. It seems to me that Trilogy wants all of these lots changed to residential, etc. If this happens we will be in a urban sprawl like so many other districts. we have to have some forest where we can go walking etc. This land is too close to the historic graveyards. I say leave these lots free of developement so we can a least have some trees and green space left.

I would like to know where all of these lots are going to get their water, sewer, etc. As a taxpayer, it is my understanding that the person who wants to come here and buy the land, should also pay for infracture of the said land. As you know we need a lot of money for redoing or repairs to the infractures we have, so let's not give away too much before we decide who is going to pay for all of these changes. You know that we cannot keep on raising taxes for all of changes that need to be done here in the village, but I think that Trilogy wants too much from the village and we will end up paying in the end.

This public hearing should be put on hold until we have the election.

Thank you
