Eight Cumberlanders Share Their Views of Cumberland's Official Community Plan During the summer of 2008 I requested video interviews with several people in our community concerning Cumberland's Official Community Plan 2004. One by one, eight of those people agreed to my request and the resulting interviews are presented here in the order that they were recorded. There has been only minimal editing, basically to eliminate long pauses during recording. Those eight people, in order of appearance, are: Richard Drake, Grace Doherty, Grant Shilling, Russell Bowers, Filipe Faria, Gwyn Sproule, Leslie Baird and Judith Walker. Thanks to each of you for stepping up and being willing to be heard.
My intention in sharing these interviews with you is to provoke discussion about what part the OCP plays in our public process. a process with influence far beyond the political boundary of Cumberland village. Also included in the video is the complete text of section 2.1 of Cumberland's OCP:
The Voice of the People.
