Coal Valley Estates has proposed an amendment to their Phase 5 rezoning to increase the height of their multi-family buildings from 3 to 6 stories.
The Municipal Office has scheduled a public information meeting for July 30, 5-7 pm in the Cultural Centre to get public input on the Coal Valley proposal.
At the July 28, 2008 Council meeting they passed 2nd reading of the OCP and Rezoning bylaws WITHOUT the requested height amendment, pending feedback from residents, particularly those living nearby. Consultant and staff responses to the required reports that have been submitted will be presented as well further details about propopsed siting of the buildings.
A public hearing has not yet been scheduled regarding this proposal.
