The US Supreme Court ruling on the 2nd ammendment (why does it need to be ruled anyway, if it is being upheld???) is only disguised as a victory for gun rights. It in fact re-defines the Right as a privilege authorized by the government, and may be taken away at any time, from anyone, as they deem "reasonable infringement".

The right to bear arms is clearly stated as an "UNINFRINGEABLE" right in the Bill of Rights, and their rewrite reminds me of the way the pigs rewrote the constitution in Orwell's Animal Farm. The whole thing is about gun CONTROL, and the government doesn't want the people to rise up armed against their corruption.

To obtain a license means that the thing unlicensed is a crime without it. The requiring of a firearms permit is a blatant denial of the unalienable Right, as the Bill of Right states it. The protection against tyranny was the whole reason for the 2nd ammendment in the first place, and now they are rewriting it for the government's protection against an awakening and outraged people, and perhaps, revolution. Many people are now being denied this right, including ex-servicemen!

There are also MANY people, including ex-CIA, generals, senators and congressmen, police and religious leaders who are saying this government is criminal, and this is just another example of it. We need to beware of the media's spin on the news, as well as anything sounding "good for civil liberty". WE should know by now that EVERYTHING they do is for their own benefit at the expense of the people, and for the benefit of the corporations that put them there.
