Trilogy Properties is going for the gusto and submitting applications for all of its developable lots in the 765-acre Cumberland development.
Incomplete applications are now in for Official Community Amendments for Lots 9a, 10 and 11, alongside rezoning applications for 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8 a.
The others, including the lifestyle centre at the corner of the Comox Valley Parkway and the mixed commercial on the east side of the highway between Royston and Small roads, are nearing completion, with one reading left awaiting amenity negotiations between the village’s lawyers and the company.
On Wednesday, the developer will hold a public meeting on the newest applications.
“There will be a brief presentation and then there will be a chance to meet one-on-one with the consultants as well as ask questions of the presenter,” said Kelly Gesner, planning consultant with the company.
The meeting, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cumberland Recreation Centre, will present further details to some of the properties further north along the parkway as well as the first official proposals for land on the west side (Cumberland side) of the Inland highway.
The OCP amendment proposals include: changing 9a (along the Inland highway, south of Royston road, suggested for a golf course) to recreation/commercial, 10 a/b (along west side of Inland highway, between Royston Road and the parkway) to commercial mixed use, and 11 (northwest of Parkway and highway intersection, near Maple Lake) to residential and greenway.
The rezoning applications request that 2 (large portion north of municipal cemetery) change to residential and greenway, 3 a/b (northernmost portion of Trilogy lands near Cumberland Road intersection) to commercial, 3c ( in same area) as commercial mixed use, 5 (south east corner of Inland highway and CV Parkway) to commercial mixed use and 7 (northeast corner of Royston Road and highway) to commercial.
No presentation has been made to council regarding these applications.
The meeting Wednesday is hosted by the developer to collect comments and inform residents of their proposals.
