Longtime residents Penny and Vince Sexton, Judy Lloyd and Gail Dunn are all smiles as they enjoy a magnificent, hand-crafted bench which was a recent gift to the community. This beautiful cedar bench, complete with armrest and a place to put your coffee, was created by Stevie Katovik.

Stevie, who regularly visits the Community Hall grounds while the Sexton's exercise their black lab named Riley, saw the need for a place for the old-timers of Union Bay to sit and relax while at the park at the Union Bay Hall.

Seen here, Vince gives a big thumbs up, giving his approval of the bench. And "How the heck was Stevie able to deliver this heavy, hand-made bench all by himself?" asked several people who tried out the bench.

These two old-timers (Stevie and Vince) have known each other since they were kids and have the most entertaining stories to share!

Think of Stevie when you take a moment to relax on this lovely bench. Union Bay is fortunate to have community-minded folks like Stevie. It's the old-timers who have worked hard for us to enjoy the amenities of Union Bay.
