VICTORIA -- The Campbell River Indian Band is seeking the return of 100 acres of waterfront property it says was wrongfully taken from it, plus unpecified financial damages.
The band has filed suit in B.C. Supreme Court seeking ownership of the now-subdivided land, known as the Campbell River spit. Named in the suit are the City of Campbell River and the B.C. and federal governments.
