With impeccable timing, Tina Willard-Stepan, owner-operator of Seeds Natural Food Market, opened the doors to her long-awaited food store here in Cumberland on the first day of spring.
The 1200 square foot store offers a full range of natural food products and it is store policy to place the sale of locally produced food items at the top of the priority list.
In keeping with the "local" theme, Tina had furnishings and fixtures for the store crafted from either locally produced wood or recycled materials.
And in furtherance of green values, the sore has been declared a plastic-free zone. That means you won't find plastic bags of any kind offered for your shopping experience. Paper carry-out bags are offered, for a small fee, so best to bring your own bags.
"Feed The People" is the store's motto and if they don't already have what you want, simply add your request to the list located at the front counter.
Seeds Natural Food Market is open M - Sa 10 - 6 and is located directly opposite the old post office on 3rd St.
