KUOMINGTANG or CHINESE NATIONALIST LEAGUE took over the 5-year-old 30 foot by 50 foot Larayama building and remodelled it in 1919, creating a reading room and library as well as sponsored a school for its members' children. There was a fishpond on the left side of the building
