We are now gearing up for 2008 and have many exciting campaigns on track and welcome you to join us in our initiatives.
We have been busy working on :

* Preparing a 3D land form map of our Regional Watershed -a great educational tool for the community ,schools,environmental groups and local government as well as the general public will benefit from this grand initiative. come and find out more...

* Continue to provide educational speakers to keep you informed on drinking water and watersheds issues , concerns and basic education with your input in mind.

* Working on an Condensed version of the C.V. Drinking water reference guide, a great educational tool for all ages , this will serve as a household guide on Drinking Water.

* We have joined alliances with many other local groups in our educational and action initiatives, thanks to Project Watershed, C.V. Land Trust , Council of Canadians, C.V. Environmental Committee and many others.

At the February 11, 2008 meeting we will be presenting -

* A " Think outside the Bottle Campaign" a campaign to promote the use of tap water and educate us on the disadvantages to our environment and our bodies and political issues of bottled water. This is a big community wide initiatives that needs a committed team . please join in . This one will be fun !

* Discussion and Education on the state of a " National Water Policy" - N. Berkhaven giving us an outline on what this is all about and what we can do ..

*Coal bed methane - group coordinating upcoming workshop .

* announcement about local workshops and conferences regarding our water and our Estuary .
