My friends and fellow residents:
I am moved by your dedication and continuing perseverance to protect our special Village of Cumberland from a hasty development urged on by our all-too -eager councilors. To all of you there at the public meeting, I applaud and thank you for speaking out with wisdom and grace.
I hope, when I return from my winter away, that all will be the same as when I left.
