It has become a regular seasonal ritual for me, to balance eggs on their ends at the time of the Spring and Fall Equinoxes. Sometimes alone, sometimes in groups, I make a point of facilitating this experience because it regenerates me and makes me feel connnected to the Earth in a way like no other. They also serve as little prayers of peace that polarize the machinations of the world's warlords and all they command.

The US began its invasion of Iraq on the Spring Equinox 2003 and it was that day that I decided to begin documenting my rituals under the title “Axis of Equal. ” I have performed and documented the ritual in one way or another, ever since, as is seen here for Spring Equinox 2009 in our home here in Cumberland.
