The Comox Valley Peace Group has been holding a noon hour demonstration at the Courtenay courthouse (across from Thrifty Foods on England Ave) every Saturday 12-1pm for over a year.

On Oct.27, 2007 CVPG demonstrators were joined by citizens from throughout the Comox Valley as they joined in solidarity with peace groups throughout North America for a united day of peaceful protest against war actions on a number of fronts.

United for Peace and Justice, the USA's largest anti war coalition organized the October 27th National Day of Action to End the War in Iraq

In solidarity with the American demonstrations, the Canadian Peace Alliance organized a Pan-Canadian Day of Action Against War in Afghanistan.
