Transition Town Cumberland
A grassroots movement has emerged in the villages of the UK where citizens have taken it upon themselves to address the pressing issues of climate change and peak oil. Known collectively as Transition Towns, these villages have joined together to form a vast and supportive network that is now branching out world wide.
I believe that Cumberland and the Comox Valley could benefit greatly by joining this emerging citizen-driven initiative and it is for this reason that I have opened up this section of The Cumberlander. Here will be gathered many of the Transition Town resources already available. It will also be a place for you to share YOUR relevant insights and aspirations, YOUR links, YOUR photos and words related to revisioning our collective future.
