It is my great pleasure to welcome Quadra Islander Ray Grigg as a regular contributor to The Cumberlander.
Ray Grigg has been a serious student of Eastern Philosophy for more than 45 years. He is the author of numerous internationally sold books on Taoism and Zen. His seventh book, The Sage's Way, was published in 2004.
Prior to writing professionally since 1985, he was a teacher in senior secondary schools of British Columbia, teaching principally English and English literary history but also designing and teaching courses in fine arts, cultural history and comparative world religions.
Since 2000, he has been writing a weekly environmental column,
Shades of Green, for Vancouver Island newspapers.
I recently asked Ray if he would consider offering his column freely to The Cumberlander. He agreed to do so, without hesitation.
Now that's community spirit!
