Cumberland Village Council has accepted general proposals for the wetlands park area contained in the area of town known as Chinatown/#1 Japanese Town.
Copies of source documents related to a recent proposal for the area from Sino CanAm Education & Technology are provided below for general review.
Village planner Judith Walker requests that Ad Hoc Committee members submit commentary on this proposal at her next meeting with the group on Wed. August 8, 2007 at 10 AM.

I fully support the work of the Ad Hoc Committee (although a more descriptive name and Society status, would seem appropriate).
The Sino CanAm Society proposal seems to have the stamp of collusion (and perhaps corruption) with our Mayor, whose ties with that society, while they may be informal, seem very strong.
The covenants on the lands are very clear and should preclude any large developments.
Who are the Mayor and Council really working for?
