No one who takes an interest in Cumberland's history can fail to encounter the enigmatic figure known as
Albert "Ginger" Goodwin. Nor will they fail to discover that this was a man considered by many to be a hero and by many others a complete loser.
One cannot help but wonder why Ginger's life engendered such controversy and why his death precipitated the broad social action it did.
