A small commemorative area as suggested by Ken Lowe not done yet – future discussion needed. Central Chinatown signs – John’s signs with photos up. More than one map of Chinatown –sb compared. Uncle Harold’s correct? Northern end of field – community use e.g. community garden to bring people in. Pipe, glass and hardpan dumped from a subdivision development. Needs cleaned up. Heritage Garden? Covenant issues. Water needed. Southern End – currently field, possible small roofed area for gatherings in poor weather etc. No. 1 Japanese Town, entrance needs to be graded for vehicles. Sledding used to happen on the coal slag heaps. The idea of a staircase on the western side could be a path instead. Lookout 3 – photo was used for the tree planting ceremony 1939 photo shows landmarks. Orchard area – trees tagged by Angie. Some waterpipe has surfaced indicating where the houses stood. Saito House- Imogene’s students did a report on it. Souther house also in the park. Wetlands and woodlands make up approx. 75% of the park area.
