I posted a reader poll here on The Cumberlander a while back that asked the question: The Cumberlander is a direct-edit interface open to your contributions. Why not use it this way?

I listed a few response choices such as "I don't know how to post anything" , and "I don't care to make my thoughts known." There is another one that says "Nothing I contribute will make a difference" and yet another that says "I'm too busy." No one responded by choosing any of these options.

Of the 13 people who did respond to the survey, 3 chose the phrase " I am afraid to make my thoughts known" and 10 chose simply "Other."

I am very interested in both of these responses and would like to hear commentary from any of you willing to submit it. Please do so using the reader tools at right.
