The British Columbia Environmental Network, http://www.ecobc.org/ through member participation within the network's Land Watch listserve, which focuses on ecology and the environment, have put together a petition calling for Better Radiation Testing & Monitoring in British Columbia in light of the nuclear tragedy at the Fukushima nuclear energy plant in Japan.

As nuclear radiation (fall-out) has a negative impact on open drinking water sources, etc., it is imperative that all levels of government conduct appropriate testing and inform the public.
