Cumberlanders came out in full force Friday night to show their support for young Connor Copeman.
The evening included four very solid hours of live entertainment, a plethora of home-baked goodies and a silent auction comprised of a wide variety of donated items from local merchants, artists, crafters and citizens in general.
Near the end of the evening, MC Linda Safford was overjoyed to announce to the assembled crowd that,
in conjunction with a loose change jar placed at the Cumberland Credit Union, close to $6,000 was raised for Connor through this event alone!
Another benefit concert is already being organized to coincide with Connor's return to Cumberland later this year.
Anyone with digital photos they would like to share with Connor and with the community
is asked to submit them c/o The Cumberlander. A CD of all images submitted will be produced for Connor as a gift.
