A Supreme Court action between the Union Bay Improvement District board, six current and former trustees, two staff and resident Mary Reynolds could be moved to a Courtenay courtroom within two weeks.

Reynolds, who is is now represented by BC Civil Liberties Association vice president Jason Gratl, applied to the Supreme Court to move the case from Vancouver to Courtenay this week because it's closer to where all the parties involved live.

The decision was adjourned until Feb. 11.

In November, the plaintiffs filed an application in a Vancouver courtroom requesting Reynolds stop posting false and injurious comments on her van, her "All Things Union Bay" blog as well as retract statements against the defendants since 2007.

Union Bay residents may have thought the case was over after Reynolds signed a consent order agreeing with the conditions. Since then, however, she has been accused of contempt and the case has been renewed.

That consent order was entered into the public record Wednesday, with the condition that Reynolds legal team be allowed to challenge it at a later date.
