Dear Resident

Christmas is a special time. It’s an occasion to spend time with family and friends and to reflect on the past year. It is also a time to make plans for the coming year.

As we all join together let us take time to think of those less fortunate than ourselves and to remember what Christmas is really about.

A most heartfelt thank you is extended to all staff, community service organizations and volunteers. Your work enriches our community.

My promise to you in this upcoming year is to continue to work on behalf of all Cumberland residents.

To provide leadership which will ensure that the decisions made today are forward thinking and are in the best interests of our beautiful community.

My direction will come from the many voices of our community.

It is of paramount importance that we continue to facilitate an exchange of ideas and perspectives. I am but a text message, tweet on twitter, email or phone call away.

It is indeed my privilege and honour to serve as your Mayor.
