JADE in the COAL is a theatrical dramatization about the early thriving Chinese community of Cumberland, BC. This will be a collaboration between Canadian theatre artists and several Cantonese opera artists. JADE in the COAL runs from November 25 to December 4 at the Frederic Wood Theatre at UBC.
This special event is part of the Jade in the Coal community series hosted and presented by St. John’s College, Pangaea Arts and Theatre at UBC with the support of UBC Canadian Studies.
