After seven years a dream has come true for Cumberland Chinatown descendants John Leung, May Gee and Joyce Lowe, and former Chinatown resident Marie Lowe. All members of the Coal Creek Historic Park Advisory Committee, they have been involved in the planning and have been liaisons with the larger Cumberland Chinatown Picnic Reunion Group based in Vancouver.

These photos show the support beams being placed by Norse Log Homes workers; completion of the roof; and red stain being applied by John Leung and nephew Ian Leung.

Four picnic table will be added as well as a plaque on the front fascia board. The wording has not been finalized.

A grand opening will be held in spring 2011.
