Former No.1 Town Residents
We are greatly honoured that the 31 Cherry Trees planting and the Plaque Dedication ceremony was successfully executed with the kind cooperation of The Village of Cumberland, The Coal Creek Hisotorical Park Advisory Committee and the manyvolunteers. This challlenging scheme could not have been achieved without
everyone's support and we extend our Thank You to everyone.
This project has a very special significance to us since we were abel to create a legacy for the Pioneers who worked so hard to become established in their adopted home and create a landmark of our birthplace. Due to forced evacuation we were bound to restart in unfamiliar envirement but even after 67 years Cumberland is dear to our hearts.
We look forward for the cherry trees to mature and harmonize with the surroundings and become an integral part of the park.
The friendship and cooperation experienced through this project is invaluable and will always be treasure, Thank You Very Much.
