Cumberland Museum
The 9th Annual Garden Tour takes you through Cumberland from its oldest area to its newest development. Those that host the garden tour have provided an interesting variety of gardens for the public to view. This year we also want to pay tribute to the many unseen faces of the many volunteers who have given so generously of their time, their own money and their energy to develop and maintain a garden at Chinatown, care for the Old Orchard, and develop Porkey’s Path, maintain No. 6 Heritage Mine and provide plants for the Community Forest garden. These named gardens are just some of the places to visit. The tour covers a large area so it will be necessary to drive to see all the gardens. However, you will need a good pair of walking shoes as well. Your purchase of a ticket also allows you to enter a draw for a beautiful print donated by the very talented artist April Lafferty. Be sure to leave your name and phone number at Jonal Studio to enter the draw.
The Garden Tour takes place Saturday, June 9th, 2007, 10 am to 4pm.
The Garden Tour is a fundraiser for the Cumberland Museum. Tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the Cumberland Museum, Home & Garden Gate, Courtenay and Blue Heron Books, Comox.
