Earth Day, observed globally at the end of April each year, marks the day when our world honours Mother Earth's gifts. It is celebrated across all countries, regardless of politics, religion, class, or culture.

Zocalo’s Café & Gallery, and Soul Circle Mandalas invite you to an afternoon of Earth Day Mandala making, on Saturday April 24th. The drop in event runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Zocalo Café & Gallery, 208 – 5th St., Courtenay.

Join us, in helping to heal our planet through the art of Mandala making. "Mandala" is an ancient word, which means, "circle". It is a symbol that is found in every culture, religion and throughout nature. This symbol means Oneness, Wholeness, Completion, Unity and Peace. Create your own personal healing message in a Mandala for your family, our community, and our precious Planet Earth. (Materials provided. Mandala’s to be displayed in Gallery following event.)

When: Saturday, April 24th; Where: Zocalo Café & Gallery on the corner of Cliffe & 5th St., just across bridge from the Simm’s Park Earth Day Family Festival. $5 donation is suggested. A portion of donations will be donated to charity.
