Landscapers and Comox Valley residents, please don't dump your yard (or household ) waste in Coal Creek Historic Park. This 40-acre eco-gifted park stretches from East of Jumbo's Cabin and Chinatown, past No. 1 Japanese Town,almost to the road bridge on Comox Lake Road, on the south side. It also includes the open area across the road from Jumbo's Cabin. We are seeing increasing dumping of tree prunings, invasive plant clippings, and other yard waste and wonder if you realize that this is parkland. With the recent passing of Cumberland's Parks Regulations bylaw there will be better signage but in the meantime please respect this area.
