Climate change that sordid stew
Warming? Not? Just what is true?
Stats and lies, scandals, hype
Right or wrong - but true to type!
Are we to blame? Is nature mad?
Is planetwide agreement bad?

It seems the message’s been lost
There’s lots of problems, and a cost
To fix what’s wrong. And some will win
And others lose. But with some spin
Just put aside the doom and gloom!
(And hunt for water on the moon)

For after all, the truth’s a bitch
And carbon trading’s now the pitch
But while we argue boardroom deals
The starving starve and no one feels
The pinch like homeless, working poor
But say “Olympics” - and you’ll score!

Real wars rage on – and hand-outs still
Bloat corporate mongers on the Hill
Ah, could it be that there’s the hitch?
Instead of fighting for a switch
The bankers vote for status quo
And Copenhagen then votes “no”?

Does it matter who’s to blame?
Or if it’s all a numbers game?
We can’t escape the planet stew
And there’s so much that we CAN do
So pick a project, find a way
Not - if the end comes - rue today!
