Dear Stephen,
A wise person just advised me to start sending you these letters snail mail. Perhaps it would be more likely that you actually read them, I don't know. But I just keep thinking that SOMEBODY must be getting them on your behalf. Whoever you are, could you please tell the Prime Minister that these letters are urgent?!
I had to reread your words as reported at
Torontosun.com : "The most important thing G20 leaders have accomplished is saving the world from a potentially catastrophic global depression, possible threats of war and political instability".
Wow. You guys really did that?
I'm soooo happy!
So, let me get this clear: more stimulus plans, more fiat currency, more profits for the big banksters; otherwise, more of the same. And this is "saving the world?" So far the only sector that seems to be improving is the military industrial complex. Official unemployment figures lie, often leaving out the people who just don't qualify for EI, and have given up finding full-time work. Things are getting worse, not better, and neither your, nor Obama's, stimulus packages have done a thing towards ending the depression. Real economists are now calling it the Greatest Depression, as all the figures are far worse than the Dirty Thirties. And it's just getting started. As gold rises, and the stocks fall, the G20's were talking about devaluation and a new global currency, not recovery. There is no recovery. Check the facts.
..."possible threats of war and political instability". You saved us from that, too, Stephen??!! I'd laugh, if it wasn't so ironic-and tragic. In the news we see all kinds of rhetoric around the status of Iran, as an potential nuker. It seems like the same stuff we heard just before the illegal invasion of Iraq. The casualty number there is now over a million people, by the way, 95% being innocent civilians. I won't even go into the illegitimate war in Afghanistan. I know you must be kinda sensitive about that one... I know I SURE AM! Ashamed, too, as a peace-loving Canadian.
Stephen, you really need to think things through before you actually make statements to the press. You could embarrass yourself, and lose credibility with your base. Even I know that you and your cronies in Pittsburgh didn't save the world, in any sense of the word. The only really relevant thing that happened there was the police action outside in the street and on the university campus. The message there was loud and clear. "The New World Order is a global police state. Freedom of Speech will not be tolerated. You will disperse, or be arrested".
The thing you and your corporate-owned media should have been reporting on was the death-throes of the American Constitution, and the implementation of martial law without legal declaration. The overthrow of the US by a military-backed fascist dictatorship. And next in line, under the auspices of the UN and Lord Obama, the world. While
innocent and non-violent people were beaten and arrested in Pittsburgh, here in Canada the news was all about you and your doughnuts.
You never accomplished anything.
Sincerley,
Teresa Wild
