Important Notice to Business Owners / Operators in the Village of Cumberland..
Please read attached report submitted to Council by Village CAO Anja Nurvo regarding proposed Business Licence Bylaw No 896, 2009. You will find in the report this bylaw approved as is would result in several changes to procedures & fees, including a change in licencing period, significant increase to current business license fees, and increase in fines for non-compliance. Notice and copy of the proposed Bylaw No. 896 will be posted on the Village of Cumberland website www.cumberlandbc.net , in the Public Notice Posting Places, and also available for review at the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce office.
Council will consider representations on the proposed Bylaw at its next regular Council meeting on September 28th. Written comments can be forwarded to Anja Nurvo (anurvocumberlandbc.net) by September 23rd.
