Dear Stephen,

I hope you had a nice weekend. I see over 2 million people spent theirs demonstrating in the streets in Washington.

According to the independent news footage (I no longer trust the mainstream media reports...) these American citizens were protesting many things, all boiling down to corruption in the government. It was really exciting to see what many people are referring to as the second American revolution. They are sick and tired of a government which lies to them, steals from them, imprisons and tortures them, and denies them their constitutional and unalienable rights.

Some Republicans took the opportunity to do some serious campaigning for next year's mid-terms, predictably blaming the current democrat puppets for the economic mess. That is not surprising. Many chose to sweet-talk the military buffs, praising the soldiers who "defend our freedom", as if the Afghanis and Iraqis were actually threatening the US! There were many insisting on 911 truth and a new independent investigation. The truth about who really demolished the three World Trade Centre buildings would definitely let these Moslem innocents off the hook. Many chanted "end the Fed", seeing the Federal Reserve as the cause of the foreclosures and bankruptcies that have cripples millions. Meanwhile, just across the street, Obama is presenting a proposal to give all contol of all finances to the Fed. Every single transaction by every single American. Gangster bankster Chicago-style mob rule...

As a Canadian, I watched all this with interest. I felt encouraged that so many people were fed up with a government that no longer cared for their safety, health, or happiness. And I was a little sad, too, because it seems that Canadians think they are exempt from these problems. Our worst problem here in Canada is that we all think we don't have the same problems. We are so dumbed down and propagandized that we still get our information from the CBC. Mr. Mansbridge says "don't worry, folks. Here in Canada, we care".

I just want to tell you, Stephen, that I am not believing for a moment that our recession/depression is over. It is no mistake that Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of Canada (your appointment, I think, Feb. 1, 2008) was Managing Director of Goldman-Sachs. We are intrinsically tied with the US financially, our dollar value set in stone now, with theirs. The SPP says so! The IMF is now saying they will be implementing a new currency (Assoc. Press) to replace the US dollar. Stephen, if you have any power for your own actions, PLEASE CUT US LOOSE! The ship is going down! There is still room in the lifeboats!!!

Unfortunately, I think you have been hired to escort this country into the New World Order. If you don't follow orders, Iggy will. That's why I don't take part in our farcical elections any more.

Good on them, those 2 million noisy protesters. I hope they didn't even apply for a permit for that.

Sincerely, Teresa
