For many years now, I have been ballancing eggs on their ends at the exact time of the Spring and the Fall Equinoxes as a personal ritual of attunment to the Earth. This year is the first time I have done so with the awareness that this day is celebrated as Earth Day by the United Nations. At the UN building in New York, a Japanese Peace Bell is rung at the exact time of the Spring Equinox to celibrate the occasion.
