What a pleasent surprise to find 'Porkey's Path', while strolling along the road to Cumberland Lake on a sunny Sunday. Great energies have gone into the makings of this trail and park-like setting.
Combined workings from people like Martin and Wendy (her father did a fine job on the makings of the wooden cart-pulling creatures), neighbours Ralph and Lois & others, created this beautiful trail in honor of a long-time resident and pal, Porkey. This is a beautiful sight - a must do stroll. Truly inspirational, I'm sure Porkey would be proud.
I look forward to returning with a woodland creature contribution - when you view the pictures, you will understand what I mean. Be sure to bring your camera when you visit.
Editor's note: You can access Porkey's Path from the first alley on the left as you travel west on Camp Road or access it from the Comox Lake Road - watch for steps and sign on right.
NOTE: The attached PDF file (below) shares the story of Porkey's Path.

thanks so much for the kind words. How gratifying that so many people are enjoying Porkey's Path.If anyone knows of free clean fill it would be most appreciated to fill the dips in the trail.
Thanks Richard - if we find that your kind offer doesn't quite fill all the dips, we will repost.
What a pleasant surprise!

Thank you Lolita! Treading Porkey's Path has been one of my most pleasant outdoor activities this spring. And what a surprise to find it less tha a 100 yards from where we live!
I met Porkey once and only once and can fully understand why family and friends would want to honor him in this wonderful way. Thank you to everyone who pitched in and made it happen!
