The University of Victoria POLIS Water Sustainability Project in partnership with Waterlution, the United Nations and EPCOR is hosting an innovative water governance conference called Community Engagement and Watershed Planning in the Comox Valley, in Cumberland on Vancouver Island.

The conference is open to 20 participants between the ages of 20-35 representing a cross section of youth from community groups, government, NGO, technology and business sectors and will foster understanding and network building across interest groups. Registration is $40. The conference is being hosted at a weekend retreat center in Cumberland, BC and meals and accommodation are included. If you are interested in participating in the workshop, please submit a one-page application letter describing your interest in attending the workshop. A CV may be included but is not required. In your application letter, please highlight: why you are interested in learning about urban water issues; what potential you see in inter-sectoral dialogue; and what background you will bring to the discussion.
