As times change and the economy evolves, one thing is for sure: simplifying a little is not a bad thing. We think that approach is a huge part of Seeds Natural Food Market’s success in its first year. Customers say that they appreciate being able to walk down the street and buy good, wholesome food in their own town. It has been an honour to play this role in such a vibrant community. And with our focus on local product whenever possible, we give customers a place to support their Vancouver Island farmers and food producers too.
Since opening our doors 1 year ago, Seeds has evolved into a bit of a community gathering place. You are very likely to meet your neighbour here while picking up the ingredients for dinner – it has a real market feel. We maintain an information board for those interested in issues related to our food system. We have an active recipe swap between customers. We have a lovely children’s area. We’re doing things a little differently, and this is a great fit for Cumberland – a town that prides itself on its character. All this and our prices are competitive, despite being a smaller grocer. We do our homework - we know that our prices are competitive with larger stores in the Valley.
The community is invited to join us in recognizing our first year in business on Saturday, March 21st between 10:00 and 2:00. There will be live music, food samples and fantastic prizes. We are located at 2733 Dunsmuir, in the building on the corner of Dunsmuir Ave and 3rd Street.
Thank you, Cumberland, for your support!
And Kudos...
