The international theme for World Water Day this year is “Coping with Water Scarcity”. Many countries face extreme shortages but here on the “wet coast” we seem blessed with secure supplies. Climate change might make our supplies less dependable though. Tofino’s experience last year should be a constant reminder for us that responsible care of our watersheds is critical.
